About this event
Description: Join us this Thanksgiving (Friendsgiving) weekend on our Major Taylor Birthday Ride as we celebrate and honor the memory of the Legendary Major Taylor.
Marshall "Major" Taylor (November 26, 1878 - June 21, 1932) won the sprint event at the 1899 World Track Championships in Montreal, Canada to become the first African American to win a world championship in cycling and the second black athlete to win a World Championship in any sport.
We will cycle 20-28 miles heading towards the Eagle Rock Reservation via the switchbacks. On the return back to Millburn, we will travel Wyoming Avenue where you will enjoy reaching top speeds as we head to Rock N Joe for a hot beverage.

Please be sure to wear your club kit, bring your helmet, a spare inner tube, CO2 cartridge, bike pump, cell phone and a pleasant attitude. Social distancing requires us to bring a mask and maintain a distance of at least 6' and fell free to bring bring hand sanitizer for your added protection.
