About this event
Description: Join us this Thanksgiving (Friendsgiving) weekend on our Major Taylor Birthday Ride as we celebrate and honor the memory of the Legendary Major Taylor.
Marshall Walter "Major" Taylor (November 26, 1878 - June 21, 1932) won the sprint event at the 1899 World Track Championships in Montreal, Canada to become the first African American to win a world championship in cycling and the second black athlete to win a World Championship in any sport.
