Jim Thorp Gravel Excursion


 

Description: This 100 mile route is an intermediate to advanced gravel ride, one must be capable of riding for an extended period of time on gravel roads. Anticipate holding a C/B pace average 12-16mph.  

We will ride along the Delaware and Lehigh Canal system from Easton PA to Jim Thorp PA. Route is 100 miles round trip, with a stop in Bethlehem, Slatington and final stop in Jim Thorpe PA where we will grab lunch before heading back to Easton. For those not ready for the full 100 miles you can turn back at any rest stops along the route. Depending on time we return, all are welcome to join me for post ride brew at the Weyerbacher Brewing Company in Easton.

COVID-19: To minimize the spread of the virus we ask that all register from the website to avoid a paper sign in sheet at the start of the ride.  

REQUIREMENTS:
All riders must register for the ride. Let's roll out on time by registering before you arrive. This helps to quicken the check in process.

Please be sure to wear your club kit, bring your helmet, a spare inner tube, CO2 cartridge, bike pump, cell phone and a pleasant attitude.

Front and rear lights are recommended for this ride. The ride will NOT take place in rain or wet roads
