Waughaw Road

Description: Ride from Brookdale Park through Lincoln Park, Little Falls, Fairfield and Towaco where you ride up the famous Waughaw Rd Climb (Grades 5% to 17%).
You may snake up or ride into a driveway to stretch your legs out to help you complete the climb.
Medals will be given to the first Female and Male who complete the climb.


Ride Location: Brookdale Park

Meet Time: 8:30 AM   Roll out Time: 9:00 AM 

Ride Category: B (challenging climbs makes this a B category)

Ride Leader: Johnny Swanson

Parking Instructions:  Enter Brookdale Park from Watchung Ave and look for the 1st lot on the left.


Cancellations: Check the MTCCNJ Rides & Activities WhatsApp chat group (members only) for last minute updates or the Major Taylor Cycling Club of New Jersey private Facebook Group, for everyone else.

COVID-19: To minimize the spread of the virus we ask that all register from the website to avoid a paper sign in sheet at the start of the ride.  

REQUIREMENTS:
All riders must register for the ride. Let's roll out on time by registering before you arrive. This helps to quicken the check in process.

4. Regroup at turns and top of climbs.
5. Helmet required
6. Bring face cover
7. Bring water
8. Bring power bar/gel.
9. Front/Rear Bike light (optional)
10. Bring a spare tube and mini pump/Co2 pump.
11. Ride will not go if rain starts at the beginning.
12. No text messages to the ride leader after 8 am - Calls Only!
13. Please No Hybrid Bikes.
