Great Swamp: B/C Group (Morning)



Description: A scenic ride to get you prepped for the 2022 riding season with some flat roads through the Great Swamp and a little climbing in between. This ride is geared for new and experienced cyclists with B and C group leaders. This is a no drop ride, and we will regroup on top of all hills and major turns. We'll stop for drinks and snacks at the 24-mile mark on Valley Road in Gillette, NJ where you'll have the option of Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, and Panera.

Distance/Elevation: 45 miles/2,381 feet

Ride Location: Millburn Free Public Library, Millburn, NJ

Meet Time: 8:30 AM   Roll out Time: 9:00 AM

Parking Instructions:  Free parking in lot on Sundays.


Cancellations: Check the MTCCNJ Rides & Activities WhatsApp chat group (members only) for last minute updates or the Major Taylor Cycling Club of New Jersey private Facebook Group, for everyone else.

COVID-19: To minimize the spread of the virus we ask that all register from the website to avoid a paper sign in sheet at the start of the ride.  

REQUIREMENTS:
All riders must register for the ride. Let's roll out on time by registering before you arrive. This helps to quicken the check in process.

Please be sure to wear your club kit, bring your helmet, a spare inner tube, CO2 cartridge, bike pump, cell phone and a pleasant attitude.

Front and rear lights are recommended for this ride. The ride will NOT take place in rain or wet roads

- If you are sick, please stay home
- Avoid touching other riders
- Practice safe distancing at all times (6' rule)
- Bring your own hand sanitizer
