North Meets South - New Hope: Option 2 (AB groups)



Description: We head to New Hope to meet up with PhillyMTCC at the New Hope Train Station. The group will then ride together along route 29 to the Lumberville General Store for lunch.
 
Club Kit: Green or White (or a Major Taylor Kit)

We have 4 options...PICK WISELY! Options 2, 3 & 4 head to New Hope.

Option 2 (lunch with PhillyMTCC)  7:00 AM wheels hit pavement

You start in Millburn and meet up with members from Major Taylor Central Jersey at mile 25 at the Delta Gas Station (formerly Conoco), 1008 Amwell Road, Hillsborough Township, NJ 08844 (intersection of route 533 and Amwell Road). We say goodbye to the group heading back to Millburn and continue on riding south heading to the New Hope Train Station. We connect with PhillyMTCC (at the Train Station) then head to the Lumberville Café for a bite to eat before heading back to Millburn.

This option is 112 miles with 4300' feet of elevation. 

We roll at 7:00 AM PROMPTLY! If you arrive at 7:01 AM meet us along the route.   


Ride Location: The Millburn Clock Tower (26 Main Street, Millburn) around the corner from the Millburn Library.

Meet Time: 6:45 AM   Roll out Time: 7:00 AM

Parking Instructions Options 1 & 2: It's Saturday, so you will have to pay for parking if you use the Municipal Parking Lot/Garage. There is FREE parking at the Millburn Public Library located at 200 Glen Ave, Millburn, NJ 07041. Park facing the street leaving the middle spaces for those visiting the Library.


Cancellations: Check the MTCCNJ Rides & Activities WhatsApp chat group (members only) for last minute updates or the Major Taylor Cycling Club of New Jersey private Facebook Group, for everyone else.

COVID-19: To minimize the spread of the virus we ask that all register from the website to avoid a paper sign in sheet at the start of the ride.  

REQUIREMENTS:
All riders must register for the ride. Let's roll out on time by registering before you arrive. This helps to quicken the check in process.

Please be sure to wear your club kit, bring your helmet, a spare inner tube, CO2 cartridge, bike pump, cell phone and a pleasant attitude.

Front and rear lights are recommended for this ride. The ride will NOT take place in rain or wet roads
