Major Taylor 1899
Marshall Walter “Major” Taylor was a cycling legend.

In 1899 Major Taylor won the 1-mile and 2-mile track sprint world championships in Montreal, Canada. Major Taylor was the first USA-born African American world champion in any sport. He won the American sprint championships in 1899 and 1900.

Join us on this Major Taylor 1899 Whirlwind Wednesday

Our group rides are designed to be rides that are great for FUN group rides and not designed for RACING. We ask that anyone joining the event respect the pace set by the beacon.

This evening’s ride is a repeat of the 6:30pm event but this time everyone will ride as one group. The ride leader loves to take photos, so we encourage everyone to stay together for this social ride and form a huge blob around the yellow beacon.

We invite all to connect with us on the below social media platforms to stay in the know;
